Based on the definition of the Moscow city court Roskomnadzor has taken preliminary measures of protection of the rights of LLC “CHL-Marketing” for the broadcast of “CHL” “CHL HD” TV Channels.

At the moment, 62 Internet resources stopped “pirate” broadcasting of the TV channels, access to 16 websites, which did not stop access to illegally distribute TV coverage, is restricted after notification.

It is expected that broadcasting on another 32 sites will be stopped (the prescribed time of performance has not yet expired).

Norms and requirements on protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet are stipulated in article 15.2, 15.6, 15.6-1 and 15.7 of the Federal law “On information, information technologies and protection of information”. The law allows copyright holders to protect from illegal distribution of any type of multimedia content in the Network, with the exception of photos. The decision to restrict access to pirated Internet resources is made by Moscow city court.
