MEGOGO has published the results of its activity in Russia in 2017. According to the obtained data, the income of
the video service increased 1.65 times compared to the previous year and exceeded 1 billion rubles.
The main share of the income came from the advertising model – about 70% of the total. This figure increased to 1.45 times by 2016. Thanks to joint work with Gazprom-Media Digital, video service increased the number of advertisers in new segments and increased the
volume of advertising campaigns.
The income from the paid model has grown to 2.42 times. In 2016, MEGOGO`s income for this indicator amounted to more than 20% of total income, in 2017 – already 30%.
“We continue to grow faster than the market. In 2017, we significantly increased the volume of paying audience, which is one of the main tasks for the next year. We are working on the development and personalization of the product for our users, we are testing new formats of content and expanding the catalog, based on the preferences of the audience. MEGOGO increased the number of partners in the B2B segment. Video service has implemented more than 40 projects in 2017, including: conducted the integration of the product in “Beeline TV”, “Home TV from MTS”, “Smotreshka”, launched a digital subscription sales in M. Video and DNS, implemented special events for clients of VTB24, “Tinkoff Credit Systems”, “Russkiy Standard”, “MIR”, “Svyaznoy-club”, “Yandex.Money” and holders of “Kukuruza” cards.
The volume of the audience of video service on all platforms (Web, Smart TV, Mobile, STB) amounted to 30 million unique users in Russia in 2017.
