MEDIASCOPE WILL ADD INFORMATION ABOUT MOBILE USERS TO THE BIG TV RATINGS IN 2018

Mediascope Research Company presented the results of the audit of its project Big TV Rating, which measures the total audience of television content on TV and online. An independent examination was made by the French research Association CESP in cooperation with the British company RSMB from October to December 2017. The auditors revealed that the Big TV Rating project matches international standards and it is ready to supply data on the media advertising market.

The experts recommended Mediascope to add data of viewing TV content with mobile devices in the Big TV rating, to use new for the Russian market technology Router Meter, to extend the panel data of Big Data, to harmonize the Internet and television studies (population, sampling frame, etc.).

Supply test data for mobile devices within a Big TV Rating will begin in 2018. The project now includes data from online watching of TV content only on desktop computers.

“Not so long ago we started measuring not only the desktop but also the mobile Internet. Of course, recruit of the mobile panel is pretty hard, especially exclusive mobile users, whose representation we have set as a goal. Exclusive mobile users are still required in the panel, and we do it constantly throughout the year and we will put significant efforts in the beginning of next year,” said Ksenia Achkasova, Director of television research of Mediascope.

We remind that the Big TV Rating was launched by Mediascope in 2016 on the basis of project TV Index and WEB Indeх by the request of the National advertising Alliance, which sells advertising on most Russian television. Now Mediascope provides daily data on the total audience of TV content in TV and online (desktop computers) and advertisement posted in it.
