Producer center, created on the basis of media services of the company, takes part in the creation and promotion of the film “Chernovik” (“Draft”).

A producer center appeared in “Yandex” will support the production of movies, TV series and other content. The center is part of the company’s media services division.

Media services of “Yandex” try to meet all the interests of movie viewers: we collect information about the films, form an interest in them through news and reports, sell movie tickets, show movies online, — says Olga Filipuk, Director of development of media services in “Yandex”. — Now we are moving even further — we are creating our own producer center on the basis of media services, which will financially and expertly participate in film production, as well as, using Yandex technologies, help in the promotion of films of different genres.

The first experience of cooperation of the producer center of “Yandex” and Russian film industry was the film “Chernovik” (“Draft”) based on the novel by Sergei Lukyanenko. The film will be released in cinemas this spring. The center participated in the financing of the film making and together with “New people” Company, Film Fund and Sony Pictures will launch a promotional campaign to support it.

“Chernovik” (“Draft”) tells the story of a young man — a designer of computer games, which is intended to become a customs officer on the border of parallel worlds. The Director of the film was Sergey Mokritsky, Director of “Battle for Sevastopol”.

Producer center was created on the basis of Yandex media services — Kinopoisk, “Yandex.TV Program”, “Yandex.Afisha” and “Yandex.Music”. Media services are already co-producers of the film “Selfie” by Art Pictures and “Kinoslovo” production studios; and also #OnMusic talk show, created by “Red square” TV company. The program will be broadcast live on Yandex.Music”and other Yandex services.
